SAINT PAUL, Minn. -- A slew of metro teams capitalized on the pristine early season weather during a rare Monday afternoon meet. Hamline hosted athletes from Augsburg, Bethel, Concordia Moorhead, Concordia St. Paul, Crown, Macalester, Minnesota, Minnesota - Morris, Northwestern - St. Paul, St. Benedict, St. Catherine, and UW-Superior. With temps settling into the low 70's for the peak of the day, all event groups got to relish in late-season conditions for their outdoor debuts.

Allison Fink leapt to a runner-up finish in the long jump. Her best jump of 5.22m is just a couple of inches behind her personal best leap from the indoor season. This moves Fink into sixth on the Saints all-time performance list.

Fink also ran a personal best time of 12.68 seconds in the 100m dash. This ties for the fifth fastest time in school history.

In the triple jump,
Jillian Bilben (International Falls, MN/Falls High School) had a career day with a third place finish. Bilben had multiple marks that eclipsed her personal best, with her farthest going 10.18m. This mark puts Bilben as the tenth best performance in Saints history in the event.

In her collegiate debut in the event, Lucy Rappana took her heat by storm with a winning time of 16.22 seconds. This mark was good enough to place her fourth overall in the meet.

Ella Engen (Clearbrook, Minn./Clearbrook-Gonvick HS) led the way for the Saints in the hammer throw with a sixth place finish. In a consistent series, her farthest toss went 44.57m.
Kyra Hovis (Duluth, MN/Superior High School) was just a few feet behind in eight place with a best throw of 43.72m.

Ava Halvorson placed seventh overall in the discus with a release of 32.48m.Â

Ellen Miriovsky cleared a personal best bar in the high jump on Monday. Her clearance of 1.45m placed her sixth overall.

Kayla Nelson (Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater HS) raced to a personal record time of 1:01.25 in the 400m dash to place ninth.Â

Abby Wood led the charge in the distance events with a new personal best in the 5000m run. Wood's time of 18:33.08 is the seventh fastest time in school history.

The track and field team will get a couple more training sessions in before they take another brief hiatus for Easter Break. They'll return to action on April 11th at Bethel.Â
