Women's Basketball Wins Fourth Straight Behind Big Performance from Kloey Lind

DULUTH, Minn. — The St. Scholastica women's basketball team continued its strong run through conference play Wednesday night, earning a 70–49 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference victory over Macalester College on the road. The win marked the Saints' fourth straight, improving CSS to 10–3 in the MIAC and 15–5 overall, tied for second place in the conference standings.

St. Scholastica was led by a dominant performance from Kloey Lind (Pine City, MN/Pine City HS), who poured in a season high 28 points on 11-of-16 shooting and secured 11 rebounds for a double-double. In the process, Lind recorded the 500th rebound of her collegiate career, reaching the milestone as part of another efficient and physical performance in the paint.

Ava Haus (St. Michael, MN/St. Michael-Albertville High School) added 20 points, knocking down two three-pointers and going a perfect 6-for-6 at the free-throw line, while providing steady leadership throughout the contest. The Saints also received contributions across the lineup, with Evie Schmitz (Burnsville, MN/St. Louis Park) scoring six points and Ava Riegel (Rogers, MN/Totino Grace High School) adding timely baskets and defensive pressure to help maintain momentum.

The Saints asserted control early and never relinquished it, building separation with strong interior play and disciplined defense. St. Scholastica outscored Macalester 44–26 in the paint and won the rebounding battle 32–18, while limiting the Scots to 31.6 percent shooting from the field.

St. Scholastica also capitalized at the free-throw line, converting 17-of-21 attempts, and used defensive stops to generate transition opportunities that kept the pressure on throughout the night.

Up next, the Saints will hit the road for a big matchup against Bethel on Saturday, February 7, another 10-3 MIAC team in the three-way tie for second in the MIAC. Tip off is scheduled for 1pm.
