Women's Nordic Posts Fourth Place Finish at Ariens Invite

BRILLION, Wis. -- The St. Scholastica women's nordic ski team earned a fourth-place finish at the Ariens Nordic Invite, totaling 36 team points and edging St. Olaf (35) while competing against UW–Green Bay (48), Michigan Tech (57), and Northern Michigan (71).

Della Bettendorf (Proctor, MN/Proctor HS) paced the Saints with an impressive third-place finish in the 15-kilometer skate race, finishing in 34:09.5. Bettendorf stayed near the front throughout the race and was the top collegiate finisher for St. Scholastica, providing a strong anchor performance for the team.

Belle Spets () followed as the second Saint across the line, placing 19th with a time of 37:08.7. Lily Schaeffer (Brainard, MN/Brainard HS) finished 23rd in 37:59.8, while Sophia Bertonneau (Leadville, CO/) added key points with a 25th-place result in 38:28.3. Madeline Gray continued the Saints' scoring efforts, crossing in 28th place at 39:09.6.

Jazlyn Gunderson (Wrenshall, MN/) completed the St. Scholastica lineup with a 30th-place finish, rounding out a consistent team showing that kept the Saints competitive throughout the standings. With multiple skiers finishing inside the top 30, St. Scholastica demonstrated depth and resilience in a challenging field.
