BLOOMINGTON, Minn. -- College of St. Scholastica thrower Ella Stritesky (Rogers, Minn./Rogers HS) has been named the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Women's Field Athlete of the Week following an outstanding performance at the CSB/SJU Alumni Meet on January 24.

Stritesky claimed first place in the weight throw with a mark of 16.54 meters (54 feet, 3.25 inches), establishing one of the top performances in program history. The throw ranks fourth all-time at St. Scholastica and currently sits 12th among all competitors in NCAA Division III this season.

Her winning effort highlighted a strong showing for the Saints in the field events and continues a promising start to the indoor campaign for the St. Scholastica women's track & field program.
