DULUTH, Minn.- The freshman standout
Wyatt Wurst (Edina, MN) has been named AHCA Second Team West All-American for his impressive 2024-25 season. Wurst now adds this accolade to an already sizable collegiate trophy case that includes being named MIAC All-Conference and Freshman of the Year. Wurst had an outsized impact on the Saints men's hockey team during his shifts on the ice. The defensemen played in all twenty five games for the Saints as a defensemen and was a huge net positive of +18 on the season during his time on the ice. He totaled five goals and a team leading twenty assists for a grand sum of twenty-five points on the season, while also leading the team in blocks with thirty-five for the year. The Edina native helped lead the Saints to their fourth consecutive winning season and looks to be a major player in the Saints quest for a MIAC championship in 2025-26.
