COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. -- The 1000m got out to a swift start on Saturday afternoon at St. John's University. Regan DeWitt (Bemidji, Minn./Bemidji HS) accepted the challenge and bravely surged to the lead of the chase pack. After a few defiant laps, DeWitt found herself not only in scoring position, but in a chase for the podium with a fast heat and heart full of will. In the final laps, DeWitt dropped another gear and separated herself from challengers to defend her position. DeWitt finished in a blistering 3:01.48 to break an over decade old school record, and finish third overall in a race that was won with both a MIAC championship record and facility record. DeWitt reached the podium for the first time in her career to earn All-MIAC honors. DeWitt is now the fastest Saint to cover 1000m in the history of the program.

The women's 4x200m relay team of Jaden Ellefson (Saginaw, Minn./South Ridge HS), Ava Fink (Virginia, Minn./Virginia HS), Kayla Nelson (Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater HS), and Shayna Wick () had a day for the record books with a perfectly executed team effort. The group combined for a time of 1:47.17 to place fourth overall in the MIAC. This result earned the team All-MIAC honorable mention. Even more impressively, this is the second fasted time run in the event in school history.

Grace McCormick (Duluth, Minn./Denfeld HS) ran a personal record in the 3000m to place 15 th overall. Her time of 10:45.77 moves McCormick into seventh overall on the Saints all-time list.

Ella Engen (Clearbrook, Minn./Clearbrook-Gonvick HS) again contributed to the team score by advancing to the finals of the shot put competition. She placed eighth overall with a season best distance of 11.71m.

Elli Schritz (Mora, Minn./Mora HS), Jillian Bilben (International Falls, MN/Falls High School), and Sydnie Wgeishofski (Pequot Lakes, Minn./Pequot Lakes HS) competed well in the triple jump competition to place nineth, tenth, and eleventh overall.

Ellefson, Fink, DeWitt, and Nelson finished the day with a seventh place showing in the 4x400m relay. Their time of 4:12.70 was the fastest time for event all season.
