Saints Nordic Finishes Day One at CXC Cup

The men's and women's Nordic ski teams of Saint Scholastica began their weekend of races in Minneapolis, MN for the CXC Cup. On Saturday, January 25 the Saints competed in the freestyle sprint, a 1300 meter race.
 

Male Top Performers: 

Sophomore Kai Donnelly () was just one of two male athletes to make it into the quarter-finals of the 1300m Freestyle Sprint. Donnelly would finish with a time of 3:07.52, falling just short of making the semi-finals. Sam Haynes, who competed in the men's open division, made it all the way to the finals after several successful races. Haynes took 6th place, and finished his final race with a time of 3:18.11 in the open division.

Female Top Performers:

For the women's team, there were three athletes who made it to the quarter-finals round for the day. The first being Freshman Josie Kwansy (), who finished her race with a time of 3:43.39, and finished 4th in her group. Following her, Madeline Gray had a time of 3:44.98 and finished 5th in her group. Freshman Victoria Myers () would finish it off for the Saints, and would finish with a time of 3:47.52 taking 6th place for her group.
