How it Happened
Vs The Grinnell College Pioneers
The Saints started strong in the first set, outplaying Grinnell and grabbing the win 25-19. Multiple back-and-forth rallies created an unmatched energy in the arena. But, the momentum switched for the remaining three sets as Grinnell would win three straight to take the game.
Set four was a well-fought contest, with Grinnell only winning by two with a final score of 23-25. As the Pioneers went on a five-point run, the Saints retaliated by securing five of the next six points. There were many successful rallies for the team, as the Blue and Gold capitalized on the Pioneers' faults. The Saints would come together to score a total of 48 points in game one, a valiant effort that was not enough to secure the win.
