WINONA, Minn. - The College of St. Scholastica got back into matchplay this weekend, after having a week of rest. The Saints were able to pick up right where they left off as they got an 8-1 win over St. Mary's on Saturday afternoon.

Doubles
The Saints would sweep the Cardinals, taking all three double points. Jonas Abeleda (Sydney, Australia/St Aloysius' College) and Dane Patten (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) grabbed the 8-5 win.

Jack Onkka (Thief River Falls, Minn./) and Alex Daigneault (Agua Dulce, Calif./Hart HS) earned an 8-5 win in the No. 2 spot, while Harper Dircks (Hopkins, Minn./) and Andy Shaffer (Buffalo, Minn./) got a 8-0 victory.

Singles
Abeleda would drop his match in three sets, 7-5, 3-6, 6-10

Patten won by scores of 6-1, 6-0 and Carter Anderson (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing HS) got the 6-3, 6-1 win in the third spot.

In the fourth slot, Reece Patten (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) got the 7-6, 6-2 win.

Dircks picked up the 6-3, 7-5 victory, while Onkka managed to take his match, 6-3, 6-2.

The Saints are now 9-7 and 6-1 in the conference. St. Scholastica will play next weekend on April 13, against Bethel University in Arden Hills.
