How it Happened
The Saints got its first field goal of the night from Hope Carlson (Proctor, Minn./Proctor HS), who scored on a layup, but the Gusties were able to build a 17-3 lead midway through the first quarter.

CSS closed out the opening quarter with successful trips to the free throw line from Kloey Lind (Pine City, Minn./Pine City HS) and Jackie Johnson (Bemidji, Minn./Bemidji HS), as the Gusties led 32-10 after the opening quarter.

Megan Hurley (Woodbury, Minn./Woodbury HS) led off the second quarter for the Saints with two three-pointers on back-to-back possessions, but the Gusties still held a commanding lead.

Johnson and Lind would score once again for the Saints minutes later, as the Gusties took a 52-25 lead into halftime.

Johnson got the second half started for the Saints offense, with Gabby Voigt (St. Michael. Minn./St. Michael- Albertville HS) also scoring on a layup, as the Gusties led by 24.

Midway through the third quarter, Hannah Compton (Anoka, Minn./Crosby-Ironton HS) hit a nice shot from beyond-the-arc, as well as Carlson scoring on a layup.

Johnson and Lind would close out the quarter for the Saints on layups, with Lind converting an and-one, with the Gusties holding a 74-40 lead going into the final quarter.

A three-pointer from Carlson, as well as layups from Lexi Imdieke (Andover, Minn./Andover HS) and Liz Frase (Proctor, Minn./Proctor HS (Concordia-Moorhead)), would help CSS gain some traction to begin the final quarter, but the Gusties lead sat at 83-48.

Frase would get two more layups to fall, with Madeline Perry (Ely, Minn./Ely Memorial HS) and Ashley Faur (Pine City, Minn./Pine City HS) also scoring, as the Gusties were able to close out tonight's game, winning by a score of 101-58.
