Duluth Minn. – The Saint Scholastica Women's Hockey team played the Oles of Saint Olaf College in the second game of a two game series tonight at home. They once again bested the Oles to secure their fourth consecutive win, 3-1.

What Happened
The first period was electric for the Saints offense, they not only outshot the Oles 12 to eight, but they outscored them in the period 2-0. The first Saints goal would come from Allie Bussey (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing HS) 15 minutes into the game, this goal was assisted by Lauryn Hull (Kimberly, Wis./Kimberly HS) and Lyndi Schubert (Mantorville, Minn./Kasson-Mantorville HS). The second goal would come just 44 seconds later from Sara Parent (Otsego, Minn./Rogers HS), who would take an amazing slapshot to the back of the net, coming from Jessie Ketola (Silver Bay, Minn./William Kelly HS) and Gabby Gamst (Moose Lake, Minn./Moose Lake HS). The period would come to a close with the Saints up 2-0.

The second period was certainly slower in action but still packed with some great hockey. The Saints would put up seven shots and not convert on any of them, compared to the Oles who would put up one more shot, with eight, they would be able to score on the power play bringing them to within one goal of the Saints.

The third period was make or break for the Saints as they needed to do everything in their power to maintain their fifth seed. They did just that, not letting the Oles get a single goal on 11 shots. The Saints would put up seven shots, and with just under two minutes in the period Allie Bussey (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing HS) would score an empty net goal to secure the victory for the Saints. The game would come to an end with the Saints winning 3-1 over the Oles.
