ORLANDO, Fla. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's tennis team played their third game of the spring break trip against Springfield College (Mass.) on Wednesday. The Pride would be able to get the 6-3 victory over the Saints.

Doubles
The Saints wouldn't be able to secure any doubles points this afternoon, but No. 1 pairing Julia Maier (Hamburg, Germany/Heidberg Gymnasium) and Mishell Benitez (Ambato, Ecuador/Colegio Tecnico Particular a Distancia José Martí) fell just short via a deciding match tie break, 8-5 (7-5).

Singles
The Saints would see some spark in singles play, they would take half of the matches.

Getting back in the win column was Maier as she took care of her opponent 6-0, 6-0 at the top spot.

The No. 4 court saw similar results, as first-year Katia Bartels (St. Paul, Minn./Mounds View HS), would come away with a 6-0, 6-0 victory.

Receiving her first collegiate victory was Ava Fink (Virginia, Minn./Rock Ridge HS), she would have a close first set with her opponent, but would take it 7-5. Then Fink would take care of business in the second set as secured the 6-1 win at the No. 6 position.
