DULUTH, Minn. – The College of St. Scholastica soccer programs have been recognized with eight players on the 2023 NCAA Division III Academic All-District Teams, selected by the College Sports Communications.
For the men's program juniors
Keegan Chastey (Duluth, Minn./Duluth Denfeld HS) and
Elijah Seehof-Flory (Minneapolis, Minn./St. Louis Park HS) earned recognition for the first time in their careers. On the women's side, 5th year player
Avery Sutton (Minneapolis, Minn./St. Anthony Village HS (Saint Mary's)), seniors
Ellie Keillor (Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS) and
Ella Achterkirch (Rogers, Minn./Rogers HS), junior goalkeeper
Gracie Meagher (Cloquet, Minn./Cloquet HS), and a pair of sophomores,
Kaitlyn Sautter (Princeton, Minn./Princeton HS) and
Tenley Voth (Farmington, Minn./Farmington HS) were all recognized for the first time.
All eight student-athletes will be in consideration for Academic All-America honors. The teams will be announced Dec.19-20.
To be eligible for all-academic recognition, the nominee must be at least a sophomore in academic and athletic standing, hold a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50, and have competed in 90 percent of the institution's contests OR started at least 66 percent of the institution's contests.
