Notables
- Cole recorded 45 saves tonight against Gustavus only letting up one goal.

SAINT PETER, Minn. – The Saint Scholastica Women's Hockey Team traveled to Saint Peter today to face off against the Gusties once again. A well-fought match today resulted in another Gustie win, this time only 1-0 From the Lund Center.

What Happened
Another well-fought match by the Saints pitted against the Golden Gusties once again. Tonight's match-up was much closer as it ended with a score of only 1-0 in favor of Gustavus. The only goal of this game came early in the first, at 4:42. Only one penalty was recorded in this period, this came before the puck was dropped, the team suffered a protocol violation so they started the game short-handed, Kendra Royer (Duluth, Minn./Duluth Marshall HS) sat for that penalty.

The second period was filled with excitement and action from both sides, Arika Trentor (Superior, Wis/Superior HS) would take a shot early in the period that would result in a save made by the Gusites giving the Saints some momentum moving forward in the game. The Gusties shot for 19 in total throughout the period with goaltender Makenzie Cole (Cohasset, Minn./Grand Rapids HS) not letting up a single goal this period. Both teams would suffer penalties in this period, the Gusties would be booked early for tripping, and Gabby Gamst (Moose Lake, Minn./Moose Lake HS) was booked later in the period for tripping as well.

Wrapping up the game in the third, we would see the Saints start to turn up the heat on both ends of the ice. The Saints would get five shots and only let Gustavus get 14. This period would also get a little more aggressive as there were three penalties, two for the Gusties and one for the Saints. The Gusties would be charged with a tripping and hooking call. Lauren Hull would get booked for cross-checking. Nothing would come from either power-play and the game would unfortunately come to a close with Gustavus securing the 1-0 win against the Saints.

Goaltending
Makenzie Cole (Cohasset, Minn./Grand Rapids HS) would play all three periods for the Saints, facing 46 shots and registering 45 saves.

Katie McCoy would play the entire game for Gustavus, registering 7 saves and letting in no goals
