ST. PETER, Minn. – The St. Scholastica women's soccer team traveled to St. Peter this afternoon, taking on the Gusties from Gustavus in its season finale. The Gusties took a 1-0 lead into halftime, and added a game-sealing goal in the 75th minute to defeat CSS by a score of 2-0. 

How it Happened
The Saints got the first shot on goal in this match, as Elena Davidson (Duluth, Minn./Duluth Denfeld HS (Queens)) tried to give CSS a 1-0 lead, but it would be for not, as the score remained 0-0. 

Gustavus broke the 0-0 tie shortly after, in the 15th minute, taking a 1-0 lead over CSS. 

Shortly before the end of the first half, the Gusties were pressing for its second goal, but Gracie Meagher (Cloquet, Minn./Cloquet HS) was there for a pair of saves to keep the score at 1-0. 

CSS pushed for its first goal of the match, as shots by Ellie Keillor (Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS) and Zoe Hoard (Elk River, Minn./Elk River HS) would be saved to keep CSS off the scoreboard. 

The Gusties broke through in the 73rd minute, scoring its second goal of the match to take a 2-0 lead over St. Scholastica. 

CSS tried to make an offensive push, as Karissa Beaston (Madera, Calif./Shattuck St. Mary's HS (Minn.)) and Ashley Harold both got shots on goal, but the Gusties were able to take care of the Saints, winning this match by a score of 2-0. 

End of Season
The Saints finished this season with a record of 1-15-2, with a conference record of 1-7-2. CSS will say goodbye to Avery Sutton (Minneapolis, Minn./St. Anthony Village HS (Saint Mary's)), Karissa Beaston (Madera, Calif./Shattuck St. Mary's HS (Minn.)), Brea Archer (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS), Ellie Keillor (Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS), Ella Achterkirch (Rogers, Minn./Rogers HS), Brianna Jorgenson (Columbia Heights, Minn./Columbia Heights HS), and Elena Davidson (Duluth, Minn./Duluth Denfeld HS (Queens)).
