DULUTH, Minn. – The College of St. Scholastica women's volleyball team played their final regular season home game against St. Olaf College on Senior Day. The Saints wouldn't be able to get a final win at the Reif as the Oles took all three sets (25-13, 25-17, 25-16).
The Saints were led offensively by
Lindsey Baribeau (Biwabik, Minn./Mesabi East HS) who managed seven kills, while teammate
Mikala Peterson (Mora, Minn./Mora HS) registered five. The duo also had some great blocks in this contest, Baribeau recorded seven to Peterson's six.
Setters
Grace Myhre (Aberdeen, S.D./Aberdeen Central HS) and
Natalie Yackley (New Ulm, Minn./New Ulm HS) both had 8 and 7 assists respectively, while Myhre also led the team in digs with 10 and
Bryn Ziegler (Hutchinson, Minn./Hutchinson HS) had 8 digs as well.
Before the first set, the team honored their two seniors
Delaney Schaeffer (Brainerd, Minn./Brainerd HS) and
Quinlyn Rubeck (Fall Creek, Wis./Fall Creek HS). Schaeffer plans to attend grad school to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Rubeck plans to spend time with her family and obtain her first nursing position at a hospital.
