Abilene, Texas (csssaints.com) – St. Scholastica's women's soccer team fell short in their second game of the season against the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor 3-2 on Saturday.
How It Happened
UMHB were the ones to score first in tonight's game in the 29th minute. Within just two minutes of their previous goal, UMHB had scored for a second time. Being down 2-0 didn't stop the Saints as Sautter not only made the first goal of the season but also the first goal of her collegiate career with an assist by Abigail Shrode (Hamilton, Mich./Hamilton HS) bringing the score to 2-1 going into the half.
As the game neared the end, UMHB put up one more on the board off of a penalty kick goal in the 80th minute. Within the next five minutes the Saints were also able to put another one on the board off of a penalty kick goal by Hunter Zamzow (Duluth, Minn./Shattuck St. Mary's School). However, CSS was unable to make another goal before the time ran out and ended up facing a 3-2 loss.
