What You Need To Know About The Saints:
-The Saints went 4-13 a season ago after dealing with a canceled first tournament in Colorado due to COVID and then dealing with health issues throughout the season.
-St. Scholastica was last at the Pacific Coast Classic in 2018 where it went 1-3.
-The Saints are 3-5 all-time at the Pacific Coast Classic (2-2, 2014)
-Seniors
Alcia Draper (Williams, Minn./Lake of the Woods HS),
Jessica Remer (Grand Forks, N.D./Sacred Heart HS) and
Katie Brostrom (Prior Lake, Minn./Prior Lake HS) will lead the Saints into this season.
-Draper, a libero, was named the Co-Defensive Player of the Year in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) last season after being a two-time Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Defensive Player of the Year.
-Draper ranked second in NCAA Division III with 6.53 digs per set last season.
-Remer, an outside hitter, missed some action last season after being named the UMAC Player of the Year in spring 2021 COVID season.
-Despite missing five matches, Remer still finished second on the team in kills, points and digs.
-Brostrom has recorded at least 300 assists in each of her first three seasons as a Saint.
-Brostrom was a Second Team All-UMAC choice in the spring of 2021 as the team's primary setter averaging 10.48 assists per set.
-Also returning in the rotation are right side hitter
Ashley Larson (Duluth, Minn./Duluth Denfeld HS), outside hitter
Alana Mayry (Hermantown, Minn./Hermantown HS), outside hitter
Caitlin Schneeweis (Duluth, Minn./Duluth Denfeld HS (Mary)) and defensive specialist
Quinlyn Rubeck (Fall Creek, Wis./Fall Creek HS).
-The middle blocker spot will have new faces as gone are
Madissen Burns (Watertown, Minn./Watertown-Mayer HS) and
Haley Rohwer (Norwood Young America, Minn./Mayer Lutheran HS).
-Sophomore
Reagan Irons (North Branch, Minn./North Branch HS), freshman
Lindsey Baribeau (Biwabik, Minn./Mesabi East HS) and
Ava Swangstue (Grand Forks, N.D./Red River HS) will look to fill that void.

Dana Moore enters her 26
th season leading the Saints with 424 career wins in 25 seasons.
What You Need To Know About the Opponents
-St. Scholastica's first opponent, the University of Redlands, went 2-20 last season, losing its final 17 matches of the season.
-The Bulldogs do not feature a single senior on the roster.
-Occidental College went 8-15 a season ago and ended its season on a five-match losing skid.
-The Tigers feature only one senior on their roster.
-Chapman University was 13-13 in 2021 and lost in five sets in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Tournament Championship.
-The Panthers will feature a trio of transfers that look to make an impact this season.
-The University of La Verne went 10-13 last season, ending the season on a three-match win streak.
-The Leopards return a pair of Second Team All-SCIAC performers in Ayana Mier and Emily Heldenbrand.
