Saints Women’s Soccer Ends in a Draw Against the Royals

Duluth, Minn. (csssaints.com) -- On Saturday afternoon, St. Scholastica's women's soccer finished in a 1-1 draw against Bethel University.

How it Happened

It was a well matched game the whole way through as both teams were scoreless in the first half. It remained a 0-0 game until the 54th minute when Bethel scored first giving them the 1-0 lead over the Saints. However, CSS came back quickly and tied up the score in the 60th minute of the game with an unassisted goal by Sautter. Each goalie had three more saves within the remaining time left in the game leading the final score to remain at 1-1.

Goalkeeper Gracie Meagher (Cloquet, Minn./Cloquet HS) had five saves throughout the game for the Saints.

Up Next

CSS (1-7-2, 0-3-2 MIAC) will be back at home at Saints Field on Tuesday to face Macalester College. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
