csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica volleyball team dropped a non-conference contest to 11
th-ranked University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Tuesday night.
How it Happened
The Saints earned the opening point of the first set, but it would be all Blugolds (14-2) from that point as they took the first set 25-14.
CSS battled in the second set and led 9-6 early. With the score at 16-16, Eau Claire won five of the next points which gave them the margin needed to take the set 25-22.
Eau Claire did not trail in the third set, winning 25-16 to complete the sweep.
Top Performers
Jessica Remer (Grand Forks, N.D./Sacred Heart HS) led the Saints with nine kills.
Katie Brostrom (Prior Lake, Minn./Prior Lake HS) had 21 assists and
Alcia Draper (Williams, Minn./Lake of the Woods HS) finished with 18 digs.

The Saints (0-5) return to Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) play on Friday when they travel to face Saint Mary's University. Action is set to begin at 7 p.m.
