LA CROSSE, Wis. (
csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's soccer team lost on the road against University of Wisconsin-La Crosse 3-2 on Saturday.
How it Happened
The Saints fell behind early on in the game when the Eagles (6-1-1) scored in the first three minutes of the game. CSS however, came back and tied it up in the 22nd minute of the game with a goal by
Payton Kolles (Elk River, Minn./Elk River HS).
Elisa Galyen (Duluth, Minn./Two Harbors HS) and
Morgan Friday (Duluth, Minn./Shattuck St. Mary's HS) had the assists.
In the second half of the game the Saints pulled ahead in the 47th minute with a goal by Friday with a
McKenzie Nelson (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) assist. However, in the last 22 minutes of the game Ainsley Allan scored two goals to give the Eagles the lead and win the game for La Crosse.
St Scholastica's goalkeepers had a total of 14 saves, two by
Taelynn Gittins (Hugo, Minn./Mahtomedi HS) and 12 by
Brianna Jorgenson (Columbia Heights, Minn./Columbia Heights HS).
Two out of the three goals today for La Crosse were scored by Ainsley Allan.
