csssaints.com) -- The St. Scholastica's women's soccer team lost its first Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) game against Gustavus Adolphus College 4-1 at Saints Field on Tuesday.

Morgan Friday (Duluth, Minn./Shattuck St. Mary's HS) headed in an
Ella Achterkirch (Rogers, Minn./Rogers HS) corner six minutes in to make it 1-0. The Gusties (3-2-0, 1-0-0 MIAC) didn't wait long to even up the score, scoring their first goal in the ninth minute of the game. Gustavus added another goal within a few minutes before the Saints substituted senior goalkeeper
Taelynn Gittins (Hugo, Minn./Mahtomedi HS) for sophomore goalkeeper
Brianna Jorgenson (Columbia Heights, Minn./Columbia Heights HS). Gustavus scored one more goal in the first half to make the halftime score 3-1
In the 58th minute of the game Gustavus tallied one more goal in the 58th minute to make the final score 4-1
Two out of the four goals tonight for the Gusties were scored by Page Cocchiarella.
