csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's tennis team registered its second 9-0 victory in as many days on Saturday cruising to victory over Crown College in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) play.
Doubles
Ava Warren (Virginia, Minn./Virginia HS) and
Emily Carpenter (Pine City, Minn./Pine City HS) won their fourth straight match with an 8-0 victory at the No. 1 spot.
Arianna Kraus (Jordan, Minn. /Jordan HS) and
Madeline Samz (Savage, Minn. /Burnsville HS) also came out on top at the No. 2 spot, 8-5
Singles
Maya Nibbe (Anoka, Minn./Anoka HS) won for the second straight day, playing at the No. 1 spot by scores of 6-1, 6-2. Likewise for
Maria Valentini (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing HS), who won by scores of 6-3, 6-0 at the No. 2 spot.
Julia Ellefson (Rochester, Minn./John Marshall HS) also made it two straight victories with a 6-4, 6-1 win at the No. 3 position.
Hannah Loewen (St. James, Minn./St. James HS) dropped only one game in a 6-0, 6-1 victory at the No. 4 spot for her first collegiate singles win.
Alyssa Xiong (St. Paul, Minn./Harding HS) also won her first collegiate singles match at the No. 5 spot by scores of 6-2, 6-1.
