csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's tennis team earned a singles win and doubles win in a 7-2 setback against Concordia College-Moorhead on Sunday in non-conference play at Courts Plus Community Fitness.
Doubles
The Cobbers (2-4) took two of the three doubles matches with St. Scholastica's No. 2 team of
Ava Warren (Virginia, Minn./Virginia HS) and
Emily Carpenter (Pine City, Minn./Pine City HS) prevailing in a tiebreaker 8-7 (7-2). For Warren and Carpenter, it was their second straight win.
Singles
Julia Maier (Hamburg, Germany/Heidberg Gymnasium) also won her second straight match at the No. 1 spot to improve to 3-2 on the year. Maier won by scores of 6-3, 6-4. Concordia would take the other five singles matches in straight sets.
