CSS 2, UWSP 1
The opener saw only six combined hits between the two teams, but the Saints were able to score on a pair of passed balls to defeat the Pointers 2-1.

Both teams got runners to third base in the first inning, but came away with nothing. Action picked up in the fourth inning with
Aislind Dail (Sumner, Wash./Sumner HS) hitting a one-out double. After advancing on a wild pitch, Dail scored on a passed ball to give CSS a 1-0 lead.

In the fifth inning,
Kari Breuer (White Bear Lake, Minn./White Bear Lake HS) reached on a Pointer error and later scored on another passed ball to extend the margin to 2-0.

The Pointers (4-1) pushed a run across on the bottom of the sixth, but the Saints got out of the inning with a key double play. Stevens Point proceeded to go down in order in the bottom of the seventh as the Saints won 2-1.

Haley Rosenthal (Mahtomedi, Minn./Mahtomedi HS) struck out six, allowing only two hits and did not allow an earned run for her fourth win of the season.
Nicole Anders (Port Angeles, Wash./Sequim HS) had two of the four hits for the Saints.

CSS 10, Loras 0 (F/5)
In the nightcap, the Saints plated seven runs in the bottom of the first en route to a 10-0 victory over Loras.

Olivia Howe (Scandia, Minn./Forest Lake HS),
Heidi Stewart (Burnsville, Minn./Burnsville HS (Saint Mary's)) and
Josie Fourre (Albany, Minn./Albany HS) delivered RBIs in the first inning. However, most of the damage came off the bat of
Toni Bishop (Roseville, Minn./Roseville HS) who belted a grand slam home run to make it 7-0. All seven runs were unearned in the inning.

It remained 7-0 until the fourth inning when Breuer, Anders and Stewart collected RBIs to extend the lead to 10-0. The Duhawks (0-1) could not push a run across as the Saints won in five innings 10-0.

Howe improved to 5-0 in the pitcher's circle, striking out eight and allowing four hits. Seven different Saints collected hits in the seven-hit output.
