Sam Fuss (Edina, Minn./Edina HS (Minot-NAHL)) and Filimon Ledenkov (Polotsk, Belarus/Ostroshitsko-Gorodokskaya (New York Aviators-USPHL)) had the assists. However, the Saints would be called for a penalty eight seconds following the goal and Marian took advantage nine seconds into the power-play to tie the game at 2-2.

Just 10 seconds into the third period, Adrian found the net for a second time as the Saints regained the lead at 3-2. Bryce Johnson (Roseau, Minn./Roseau HS (Thief River Falls-SIJHL)) and Fuss had the assists. The Sabres responded with 11:09 remaining to tie the game at 3-3.
