After a back and forth first half, which saw the Saints trail by three points at halftime, the Auggies ran away with the lead in the second half in this matchup and won the game 83-68.

How it Happened
The Saints found themselves down early in the first half, as Augsburg took an early 7-0 lead. The Saints found themselves back up, led by a pair of shots and a couple of free throws by Jack Silgen (Deerwood, Minn./Crosby-Ironton HS (St. Thomas)). At the halfway point in the first half, Isiah Hendrickson (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) made some key shots which extended CSS' lead up to five. Nick Carlson (Canyon, Minn./South Ridge HS) added a pair of shots within two minutes to help keep CSS close in the first half. The Saints went into halftime down 41-38

The Auggies (4-1, 3-0 MIAC) once again saw their lead extend to seven early in the second half. The Saints responded with a 7-0 run of its own to tie the game. This run was highlighted by jumpers from Carlson, Silgen, and Quinn Fischer (Esko, Minn./Esko HS). With nine minutes left in the half, a Noah Winesett (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) layup made the game 58-56 in favor of Augsburg. It was at this point that Augsburg began to build a steady lead when CSS struggled to find the bottom of the net. Augsburg went on a 24-12 run to end the game and took tonight's matchup by a score of 83-68.
