ST. PAUL (
csssaints.com) -- On Saturday, the St. Scholastica's women's soccer team fell to St. Catherine University 3-0 on the road in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) play.
How it Happened
St. Scholastica had a rough start to the game after St. Kate's (9-1-3, 6-1-1 MIAC) scored in the 13th minute of the game. Following that goal the Saints were able to hold the Wildcats for the remainder of the first half. Shots were 12-0 in favor of St. Catherine in the first half.
In the second half of the game, St. Kate scored in the 52nd minute of the game. CSS played some tough defense for the rest of the second half but unfortunately St. Kate scored their third goal in the last few minutes of the game.
Goalkeeper
Brianna Jorgenson (Columbia Heights, Minn./Columbia Heights HS) had another 10 total saves in the game. The shot on goal for the Saints was by
McKenzie Nelson (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS).
St. Kates' Amanda Elton was a part of all three goals. Elton scored one goal, and assisted the other two goals.
