KISSIMMEE, Fla. (
csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's tennis team ended its annual spring break trip to Florida with a 3-2 record after a 5-4 victory over Transylvania University (Ky.) on Wednesday.
The Saints were aided by earning a pair of wins by default at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles. After the Pioneers (1-9) won two doubles matches that were played, the Saints needed to win three of the five played singles matches.
CSS got those wins, first from
Bradley Golant (Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville South HS (Hearst-NOJHL)) at the No. 5 spot 6-0, 6-0. Then
Carter Anderson (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing HS) won at the No. 4 position 6-2, 6-1.
Elliot Schneider (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) gave the Saints the dual win at the No.1 spot, by scores of 6-2, 6-2.
