csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's tennis team traveled to the Twin Cities on Saturday to face Macalester College and fell by an 8-1 final.
Singles
Senior
Elizabeth Fink (Rochester, Minn./Rochester Century HS) was the lone winner for the Saints as she improved to 2-0 on the young season with a 6-3, 6-4 triumph at the No. 1 spot. The Scots (1-0) won the other five singles matches in straight sets.
Doubles
The Saints were defeated in all three doubles matches, but had close losses by the No. 2 team of
Syd Holt (Pequot Lakes, Minn. /Pequot Lakes HS) and
Madeline Samz (Burnsville, Minn. /Burnsville HS) by an 8-6 final and the No. 3 tandem of
Emily Carpenter (Pine City, Minn. /Pine City HS) and
Anna Roberts (Victoria, Minn. /Chanhassen HS) by an 8-4 score.

The Saints (0-2) will be in Virginia, Minnesota next weekend as they will host Concordia College-Moorhead on Saturday at the Virginia Indoor Tennis and Pickleball Club.
