csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's and women's tennis teams will be up in Virginia this weekend to face Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) programs Concordia College-Moorhead on Saturday and the University of St. Thomas on Sunday.

What You Need to Know about the Saints:
-CSS was defeated by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire 9-0 last Friday and Macalester College 8-1 on Saturday.
-The No. 1 doubles team of
Elliot Schneider (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) and
Serhii Tykhonenko (Kiev, Ukraine/Lyceum #100 "Podil") earned the lone win on Saturday.
-Schneider has lost each of first two singles matches at the No. 1 spot in three-set super-breakers.
-The Saints have yet to play a dual this season with all three of their All-UMAC performers from a season ago in Tykhonenko, Schneider and
Rafa Gonzalez (La Libertad, El Salvador/FESA).
What You Need to Know about Concordia:
Record: 1-3, 0-1 MIAC
-The Cobbers won their season opener against Crown College, but since dropped three straight, including two against NCAA Division II programs.
-Concordia is projected to finish seventh in the MIAC this season.
-The Cobbers reached the MIAC Playoffs for the third time in program history two years ago and will look to get back to the postseason again this year with the guidance of a strong senior class.
-The doubles team of Erik Porter and Jared Saue are All-MIAC performers and advanced to the round of 16 in the ITA Midwest Regional in the fall.
-Porter and David Youngs are the only two Cobbers with two singles wins this season.

-The Tommies also dropped their season opener against the UW-Eau Claire, but are coming off a win against the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
-St. Thomas will face both the University of Dubuque and Saint Mary's University on Saturday, before traveling up to square off against the Saints on Sunday.
-The Tommies tied for fifth in the MIAC Preseason Coaches' Poll.
-The Tommies lineup that features six seniors and a pair of juniors.
-St. Thomas has a winning record in doubles play thus far at 5-4.
-The Tommies have yet to win a match at the No. 1 singles spot this season.
