LAKE FOREST, Ill. (
csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica men's hockey team was defeated by No. 7 Lake Forest College (Ill.) 8-0 on Saturday to conclude its Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) series.
How It Happened
The Foresters (16-2-1, 13-1-0 NCHA) scored three goals in the first period and then added five more in the second period to win by an 8-0 final. Three of the eight goals came on the power-play.
Goaltending
Nick Trenciansky (Vancouver, British Columbia/Holy Cross Regional HS (Kindersley-SJHL)) made 27 saves and
Braxton Sathers (Duluth, Minn./Proctor HS) made his collegiate debut making three saves. Boyd DiClemente had eight saves in 40 minutes and Nick Wiencek made seven saves in the final 20 minutes for the Foresters.

The Saints (5-14-1, 3-12-1 NCHA) are back at home next weekend for a two-game NCHA series against St. Norbert College (Wis.). The series opens Friday night at 7 p.m. at Mars Lakeview Arena.
