MOORHEAD, Minn. (
csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's soccer team saw its four-game win streak come to an end on Sunday with a 4-1 loss to Concordia College-Moorhead.
How it Happened
The Cobbers (7-3) scored a pair of goals in each half and led 4-0 before
Morgan Friday (Duluth, Minn./Shattuck St. Mary's HS) recorded her eighth goal of the season in the 77
th minute to make the final score 4-1.
Janelle Rouillard (Dayton, Minn./Rogers HS) had the assist on the goal.
Concordia's Karsen Granning scored two goals only 30 seconds apart around the 29
th minute to make it 2-0. The Cobbers added another goal less than three minutes into the second half and later converted a penalty kick to create the initial four-goal margin.
Alexa Gothard (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing HS (Lake Superior College)) had five saves in the loss for the Saints, while Lexi Jemtrud had four saves in 76 minutes of action to earn the victory for the Cobbers.
