WAVERLY, Iowa (
csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica volleyball team had its five-match win streak come to an end Saturday morning with a four-set loss to Coe College (Iowa) to conclude play at the Knights Classic, hosted by Wartburg College.
How it Happened
The Kohawks (7-4) would edge the Saints in each of the first two sets by identical 25-22 scores. The Saints responded in the third set, winning 25-18, but the Kohawks reversed that score in the fourth set to take the match.
Top Performers
Brooke Schermann (Brooklyn Park, Minn./Totino-Grace HS) led the Saints with 16 kills.
Jessica Remer (Grand Forks, N.D./Sacred Heart HS) had 10 kills and
Morgan Lohmiller (Pequot Lakes, Minn./Pequot Lakes HS) added eight kills.
Espi Austvold (Spicer, Minn./New London-Spicer HS) had 19 assists and
Katie Brostrom (Prior Lake, Minn./Prior Lake HS) 17 assists.
Alcia Draper (Williams, Minn./Lake of the Woods HS) registered 28 digs.
