The Saints started with the Cardinals (2-2), who lost earlier in the day to Gustavus.

CSS got off to a good start, taking two of the three doubles matches. The No. 2 team of Katelyn Rice (Eveleth, Minn./Eveleth-Gilbert HS) and Elizabeth Fink (Rochester, Minn./Rochester Century HS) won 8-1.
