MENOMONIE, Wis. (

How it Happened
The Saints were even with the Blue Devils (4-1) early following a pair of free throws by
Christina Furey (Lake Charles, La./Homeschooled) and then a
Kaylee Kennedy (Littlefork, Minn./Littlefork-Big Falls HS) jumper to make it 4-4. However, Stout would then go on a 17-0 run over the next six minutes as the Saints committed six turnovers and were 0-for-9 from the field during that span. A
Lizzie Altendorf (Braham, Minn./Braham HS) halted the run at the end of the quarter, but CSS trailed 21-6 after 10 minutes of action.
CSS played even with the Blue Devils in the second quarter as Kennedy scored 10 of the team's 17 points in the period to make it 38-23 at the half.
In the second half the Saints could not narrow the gap, but on the other hand, Stout could not widen the gap that much. Kennedy scored 16 points in the second half as the Saints fell by a final of 88-67.
