MLC and UW-Stout Up Next for Women’s Soccer

DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's soccer team has its first home games since September 24 when it welcomes Martin Luther College for an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) contest on Friday and then the University of Wisconsin-Stout in non-conference play on Tuesday.

-The Knights are coming off a 2-1 victory over rival Bethany Lutheran College on Wednesday.
-Prior to their last two games, MLC had either won by shutout or were shut out.
-MLC and CSS, along with the University of Wisconsin-Superior, are the lone unbeatens in conference play.
-Martin Luther leads the UMAC, averaging 9.2 shots on goal per game.
-The Knights have allowed the fewest goals in the league (12).
-Lydia Bitter leads the team with five goals and 12 points.
-Mary Falck has four goals.
-Goalkeeper Mollie Fischer leads the conference with a .854 save percentage and four shutouts.
 
Series Record: CSS leads 31-10-5 (Last Meeting: 1-0 CSS – 10/6/2018)
 
Series History: The Saints are 28-0-2 in the last 30 meetings with the Knights. CSS has not allowed a MLC goal in the last 13 meetings.
 
What You Need to Know about UW-Stout:
Record: 3-7-0, 0-2-0 WIAC
-The Blue Devils will be busy before facing the Saints as they games against the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh on Saturday and Hamline University on Sunday.
-Stout has not and will not play a single home game this season as its home field is under renovations.
-The team's most recent victory to date was a 1-0 decision at UW-Superior on October 1.
-The Blue Devils have been outscored 27-8 this season.
-Marissa Steele and Ariel Kuchta each lead the team with five points apiece.
