How it Happened
Taylor Thompson (Buffalo, Minn./Buffalo HS) gave the Saints a 1-0 lead midway through the opening period with an unassisted goal. However, the Falcons tied it up in the final minute of the first period to make it 1-1 at the first intermission.

St. Scholastica regained the lead less than three minutes into the second period with a Greta Nundahl (New Brighton, Minn./Irondale HS) goal. Hailey Raske (Moorhead, Minn./Moorhead HS) was credited with the assist. Four minutes later Concordia tied it once again with a power-play goal.

A little later, the Falcons would score two goals 38 seconds apart to not only take their first lead, but extend it to 4-2.

It remained 4-2 until less than 10 minutes remaining in the third period when Concordia made it 5-2, which would be the final.
