csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's soccer team and the University of Northwestern (Minn.) played to a 0-0 tie on Saturday at Saints Field in an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) battle.
How it Happened
The Saints out-shot the Eagles 14-8 in the game, including 9-4 on goal.
Morgan Friday (Duluth, Minn./Shattuck St. Mary's HS) recorded seven shots herself for the Saints.
The Eagles (3-4-3, 3-1-1 UMAC) would strike the crossbar in the 26
th minute and CSS put four shots on goal in the final 10 minutes of the first half to no avail.
Neither team put a shot on goal in either of the two overtime periods.
Goalkeeping
Roni Rudolph (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS (Minnesota-Duluth)) made four saves for the Saints. Rudolph has yet to allow a goal in conference play. Samantha Colombo made nine saves for the Eagles.
