DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica volleyball team begins the second half of Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) play on Saturday when it hosts Martin Luther College.

What You Need To Know About The Saints:
-The Saints wrapped up UMAC triangular play on Wednesday with split, falling to the University of Minnesota Morris and defeating North Central University (Minn.)
-CSS split each of the four conference triangulars.
-On Wednesday, senior Emily Bounds (Hill City, Minn./Hill City HS) eclipsed 500 career kills.
-Bounds ranks fourth in the UMAC with 25 service aces.
-Junior Brooke Schermann (Brooklyn Park, Minn./Totino-Grace HS) ranks third in the conference with 181 kills.
-Schermann is three kills shy of 500 for her career.
-The Saints are 6-0 when they win the first set and 0-10 when they drop the first set.
-The Saints will be in search of back-to-back for just the second time this season.
 
What You Need To Know About Martin Luther:
Record: 4-14, 4-4 UMAC
-The Knights enter Saturday on a three-match losing skid, having been swept in all three of those losses.
-Kati Aguilar leads the team with 131 kills, followed by Ruth Buchholz with 126.
-Buchholz ranks fourth in the conference with a .309 hitting percentage.
-MLC ranks in the bottom half of the conference in just about every statistical category.
-The Knights have the fewest aces in the conference at 59.

Series History: The Knights defeated the Saints earlier this season down in New Ulm in four sets, in which the Saints were the first team to 23 in three of the four sets … CSS is 4-3 in the last seven home meetings with MLC.
