csssaints.com) - The St. Scholastica women's soccer team blanked Martin Luther College 4-0 Saturday afternoon by scoring two goals each half. CSS has shutout the Knights in 12 straight games dating back to 2011.
The Action
The scoring for CSS got off to an early start. 26 seconds into the game,
Becca Rancour (Hutchinson, Minn./Hutchinson HS) shot into the upper left corner of the goal and scored. Now up 1-0, the Saints fought hard to get another goal to strengthen the lead.
35 minutes in,
Rachel Dixon (Superior, Wis./Superior HS) assisted to
Janelle Rouillard (Dayton, Minn./Rogers HS) for a header goal, giving the Saints a 2-0 advantage. St. Scholastica would carry this lead into the second half.
Rouillard put a corner kick to
Morgan Friday (Duluth, Minn./Shattuck St. Mary's HS), who then scored off a header in the 61st minute of the game. Up 3-0, the Saints would get one more goal this half. With 20 minutes left to go in the half, Rancour scored her second goal of the game off a penalty kick to make the score 4-0.

Friday led CSS in shots, with 12. Rancour shot eight times on goal, while Rouillard had four.
CSS goalkeeper
Roni Rudolph (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS (Minnesota-Duluth)) did not face any shots on goal. Rudolph has recorded a conference-best four shutouts so far this season. She has 14 for her career, which put her in the top five in program history. Martin Luther's goalkeeper Mollie Fischer saved 18 of 22 shots on goal.
