csssaints.com) – Third-ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater scored runs in five of the six innings it batted en route to a 13-1 victory over the St. Scholastica baseball team on Monday.

The Warhawks (23-4) got a two-out RBI single in the bottom of the first to take a 1-0 lead.
Steven Neutzling (St. Cloud, Minn./St. Cloud Cathedral) then led off the second inning and belted a solo home run over the right field fence to tie it at 1-1. That marked the 60
th consecutive game he reached base safely. He is now one double and one home run shy of becoming the third player in program history to record at least 200 hits, 50 doubles and 20 home runs in a career.
Whitewater regained the lead with two runs in the bottom frame then hit a two-run home run in the fourth to make it 5-1. The Warhawks then got a three-run home run in the fifth and added five runs in the sixth to make the final 13-1 in seven innings.
Matt Tautges (Fort Ripley, Minn./Pierz HS) went five innings in the loss. Austin Jones struck out 10 Saints in five innings to earn the win.
CSS managed just four hits, while Whitewater recorded 14 hits.

The Saints (17-8) will host Northland College for an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) doubleheader at Wade Stadium tomorrow, beginning at 4 p.m. The games were originally scheduled for Ashland, but flipped to Duluth, so CSS will be the visiting team.
