csssaints.com) -- The St. Scholastica women's tennis team defeated North Central University (Minn.) by a score of 9-0 in a conference matchup at the Duluth Indoor Sports Center on Friday.
Doubles
At the No. 1 and No. 2 spots, the teams of
Elise Hauer (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) and
Alexia Brascugli (Eveleth, Minn./Eveleth-Gilbert HS), as well as,
Emma Bartels (Roseville, Minn./Mounds View HS (Minn.-Duluth)) and
Sarah Coryell (Golden Valley, Minn./Armstrong HS) both defeated their opponents by a score of 8-0. At the No. 3 spot,
Taylor Hays (Altoona, Wis./Altoona HS) and
Taylor Neil (Mora, Minn. /Mora HS) won 8-1.
Singles
Syd Holt (Pequot Lakes, Minn. /Pequot Lakes HS),
Jolene Duda (St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville HS), and
Angela Meschke (Little Falls, Minn. /Little Falls HS) all won their matches by score of 6-0 in both sets. They were at the No. 2, No. 5, and No. 6 spots, respectively.
At the No. 1 spot,
Daniela Rojas (Monterrey, Mexico/Universidad Tecmilenio) defeated her opponent by scores of 6-3, 6-2.
Serena Hutson (Meridian, Idaho/Bishop Kelly HS)Â won 6-1, 7-5 at the No. 4 spot.
Kelly Neil (Mora, Minn./Mora HS) was the last winner on the night 6-2, 6-1 at the No. 3 spot.
