What You Need to Know about the Saints:
-After dropping the first three games of the season that Saints have bounced back in a big way with three straight wins.
-The Saints rolled to an easy 85-51 win over their bridge rivals, University of Wisconsin-Superior, on Wednesday night and got off to a fast start ending the first half with a 53-19 lead.
-The Saints first two men off the bench were a big reason for the large lead. In the first half alone, sophomore Jarod Wilken (Annandale, Minn./Annandale HS) went for 18 points, while junior Collin Anderson (Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) added 11 points. The two combined to go 5-of-6 behind the arc.
-The Saints combined for eight threes in the first half.
-The Saints bench with the help of Anderson and Wilken put up 51 points in the victory, the most in that category since a win over North Central University (Minn.) a season ago.
-Freshman Quinn Fischer (Esko, Minn./Esko HS) has averaged 28.5 minutes per game, second most on the team only behind senior Brandon Newman (Barnum, Minn./Barnum HS) who averages 28.7 minutes a contest.
-The Saints have five players who shoot 46 percent or better from behind the three point line and lead the conference making 42-percent as a team.
-Anderson leads the team in points per game averaging 17.4, he also leads the team with total made threes with 17.
-Anderson and senior Sam Thompson (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS) lead the UMAC with Anderson making 3.4, 3-pointers per game and Thompson 2.4 per game.
 
What You Need to Know about Bethany Lutheran:
Record: 3-5, 0-1 UMAC
-After making it to the national tournament last season and winning a game against Saint John's University, the Vikings were projected to finish first in the UMAC preseason coaches' poll for the 2018-2019 season.
-The Vikings' season got off to a good start winning two non-conference road games, but have since dropped five of the last six.
-Bethany dropped its UMAC opener to the University of Northwestern (Minn.) on Wednesday in a rematch of last year's UMAC Tournament championship.
-The Vikings currently rank second in the UMAC averaging 82.1 points per game. Though they allow 87.3 points per game to opponents which ranks them last in the conference.
-Cire Mayfield leads the conference in scoring averaging 20.0 points per game.
-Mayfield also leads the conference with 5.4 assists per game, a full assist over the person who occupies the second place spot.
 
Series Record: BLC leads 17-15 (Last Meeting: 90-85 CSS – 1/20/2018)
 
Series History: The Saints have won four of the last five games in Mankato, including the UMAC Tournament semifinals two years ago. The Vikings have won the last two games in Duluth.
 
Looking Ahead: The Saints will continue their UMAC schedule on the road against North Central University (Minn.) on Wednesday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
