What You Need to Know about the Saints:
-After a little slip up in the standings a few weeks ago the CSS men's soccer team has responded with a big three-game win streak to clinch the UMAC second seed in the playoffs.
-The Saints have outscored opponents 14-1 in that stretch.
-In the win over the North Central University (Minn.) Wednesday, sophomore goalkeeper Nicholas Semaan (Duluth, Minn./Duluth Marshall School) picked up his third win of the season, and his second shutout.
-Luke Buckton (Bath, England/Writhlington School) and Armin Bobaric (Andover, Minn./Andover HS) both scored two goals in the win over the Rams. For Buckton those were his conference leading 12th and 13th goals, for Bobaric they were his seventh and eighth and now passes Darby Henderson (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS), who also scored on Wednesday, for sole position of second on the team in goal totals.
-The Saints are 6-0 when Bobaric scores.
-Both Bobaric and Henderson have scored in three straight games.
-This will be the first season since 2009 that the Saints will not be the first seed in the UMAC tournament playoffs.
-The Saints will officially host at least one postseason game on Wednesday at Saints Field. CSS will either face Martin Luther College or the University of Minnesota Morris in that semifinal.

What You Need to Know about Bethany Lutheran:
Record: 7-8-3, 3-5-3 UMAC
-With Crown College winning on Wednesday, and the Vikings losing to Martin Luther, the Vikings were officially eliminated from the 2018 UMAC playoffs.
-The game against the Saints Saturday will be the final game for them in 2018.
-For the Vikings this is the first season since 2015 (where they were the fourth seed in the UMAC) the Vikings have won any UMAC games. In 2016-2017 the Vikings were a combines 0-18-2.
-Samuel Duran leads the Vikings offense in 2018 with six goals, an assist, and 13 points.
-Moritz Bruns took most of the net time for the Vikings racking up a .727 save percentage to go along with a 1.75 GAA.

Series Record: CSS leads 28-3 (Last Meeting: 4-0 CSS – 10/28/2017)

Series History: The Saints lost the first three meetings to Bethany Lutheran (games in 1980, 2000 and 2001). Since that trio of games the Saints own a 28-game win streak over the Vikings, only allowing six goals in the process.

What You Need to Know about the Saints:
-The Saints clinched the UMAC postseason's first seed Monday with a 1-0 win over Northland. They also clinched the outright regular season championship with a 10-1 win over North Central Wednesday.
-The Saints had five different goal scorers in the win over North Central, including a first half hat trick from junior Janelle Rouillard (Dayton, Minn./Rogers HS) (5, 6, and 7), her first career hat trick.
-Kaiya Quam (Oakdale, Minn./Mounds View HS) (5, 6) and Rachel Dixon (Superior, Wis./Superior HS) (4, 5) scored two goals in the rout of the Rams.
-It was their seventh straight win.
-Goalkeeper Roni Rudolph (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS (Minnesota-Duluth)) allowed her first goal in conference play on Wednesday and remains one shutout shy of setting the single-season program record.
-The Saints are looking for their first undefeated regular season in conference play since 2014.

What You Need to Know about Bethany Lutheran:
Record: 10-7-0, 6-5-0 UMAC
-Bethany Lutheran comes into Saturday's regular season finale currently in fourth place in the UMAC standings. They are tied with University of Minnesota Morris with 18 points (UMM owns tie breaker).
-The Vikings could finish as high as third in the standings as they only trail Northland College by a point. Yet, they also could finish as low as sixth and be eliminated from the playoffs altogether.
-Morris faces University of Wisconsin-Superior Saturday, a win by UWS and a loss by Bethany Lutheran would eliminate Bethany Lutheran from the 2018 playoffs. A Morris win or tie clinches a playoff spot for Bethany Lutheran no matter what the outcome for Bethany.
-Bailey Bakken, and Madison Perry lead the Vikings in points. Bakken leads the team in goals (13G, 2A), and Perry leads the team in assists (9G, 10A).
-Zoe Kinakin has played the majority of minutes in net for the Vikings, she owns a 1.59 GAA with a .795 save percentage.

Series Record: CSS leads 23-1-1 (Last Meeting: 5-0 CSS – 10/28/2017)

Series History: Other than a tie back in 2010 and a loss in 2016 (both on the road), the Saints have dominated the series between these two. The Saints are looking for their 24th win and 19th shutout all time against these Vikings.

Looking Ahead: Both the St. Scholastica men's and women's teams will host a UMAC Tournament semifinal game at Saints Field on Halloween. The Men will host either Martin Luther or Minnesota Morris, that game will kick-off at 11 a.m. The Women will have to wait a while to figure out their possible opponent, they will face the winner of the first round game, which still has four possible teams that can fall into those seedings. Regardless who they play the Saints will kick-off at 1:30 p.m. next Wednesday.
