DULUTH, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's soccer team and goalkeeper Roni Rudolph (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East HS (Minnesota-Duluth)) recorded the 12th shutout of the season on Saturday in a 3-0 victory over Crown College at Saints Field.

How it Happened
The Saints controlled possession for much of the contest with the Storm (4-11-0, 2-9-0 UMAC) getting only one shot attempt in the contest.

CSS got its first goal of the game in the 32nd minute when Rachel Dixon (Superior, Wis./Superior HS) played a ball to Morgan Friday (Duluth, Minn./Shattuck St. Mary's HS), who found the net to make it 1-0. Four minutes later, Mara Roberts (Brainerd, Minn./Brainerd HS) had a throw-in to Becca Rancour (Hutchinson, Minn./Hutchinson HS), who spun around her defender and was able to beat the keeper on a tough angle to make it 2-0 at the half.

The Saints added the final goal of the contest with less than seven minutes remaining when Kaiya Quam (Oakdale, Minn./Mounds View HS) dribbled past a couple of defenders and had a perfect strike above the goalkeeper and just below the crossbar for her third of the season to make the final 3-0.

Goalkeeping
Rudolph had to make just one save to earn her 11th shutout of the season and fifth consecutive. Michaela Cowman had 16 saves in the loss for the Storm.
