Dickinson & Jenkins Post Top 10 CCSA Finishes

CABLE, Wis. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's nordic ski team edged Michigan Tech University for second in Saturday morning's Telemark Chase 5km classic with a pair of Saints posting top 10 finishes among Central Collegiate Ski Association (CCSA) skiers.
 
Top Performances
In her first race of the season, Kelsey Dickinson (Winthrop, Wash./Liberty Bell HS) led the Saints with a seventh place CCSA finish. Dickinson finished in a time of 16:04 and was 12th overall. Only a second behind Dickinson was junior Greta Jenkins (Palmer, Alaska/Colony HS), who posted a time of 16:05 to place eighth among CCSA skiers and 14th overall. It is Jenkins' first career top-10 finish with a full CCSA field and her second of the season.
 
Completing the scoring for the Saints was Hanna Dahlberg (Ulricehamn, Sweden/Tingsholms School), who was 17th in the CCSA field with a time of 16:59. Dahlberg was 45th overall.
 
Also posting top 20 CCSA finishes was Samantha Benzing (Boise, Idaho/Boise HS) in 18th and Megan Schiferl (Woodbury, Minn./East Ridge HS) in 20th.
 
Northern Michigan University swept to a first place finish overall with the top four skiers. Vivian Hett beat out all conference skiers with a time of 15:04.
