St. Scholastica Saints
Stats
Record: 13-9, 9-4 UMAC
Upper Midwest Athletic Conference: Standings | Stats

Last Action: The Saints split last weekend, falling to Bethany Lutheran College on Friday and then defeating Martin Luther College on Saturday in the regular season home finale … The loss to BLC on Friday could prove large when it comes to the postseason … The Vikings are currently tied with the Saints for second, but they swept the season series … Collin Anderson (Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) was the only Saint to score in double-figures in both games, averaging 16.5 points per game.

Free Throws Still a Factor: In each of St. Scholastica last seven losses they have shot below 73 percent from the free throw line … The Saints were only 65 percent from the line in the loss to Bethany Lutheran on Friday, their lowest percentage since shooting 63 percent at Martin Luther on December 16 … On the contrary, the Saints are 9-2 this season when they shoot above 75 percent from the foul line … CSS ranks 11th in NCAA Division III with 403 free throws made.

Where They Stand: With three conference games remaining, the Saints are tied for second with Bethany Lutheran, two games behind first-place University of Northwestern (Minn.) … However, the Vikings own the tiebreaker over the Saints by sweeping the season series … Both Northland College and the University of Minnesota Morris are a game back in the loss column … Northland and Bethany Lutheran face-off this weekend in Ashland … A CSS win this weekend or a Crown College loss can clinch a UMAC Tournament spot for the Saints.

Feast or Famine: The Saints remain at the bottom of the conference in field goal percentage defense and rank 406 out of 416 NCAA Division III teams in that category … Opponents are shooting 49.6 percent from the floor against St. Scholastica … This weekend's opponent, UWS is only slight better as opponents are shooting 49 percent … However, the Saints lead the conference in steals per game (7.4) and turnovers forced per game (14.7).

Upcoming Opponents
UW-Superior Yellowjackets
Record: 6-16, 5-8 UMAC
