DULUTH, Minn. (
csssaints.com) – For the eighth consecutive year, the St. Scholastica women's track & field team secured the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Indoor Championship, edging rival University of Wisconsin-Superior on Saturday at the Burns Wellness Fieldhouse.

Event Champions
Taylor Gibson (La Crescent, Minn./La Crescent HS) won her second individual title in as many days, winning the 800m run with a season-best time of 2:18.73.
Sammi Argir (Chisholm, Minn./Hibbing HS) captured the 200m championship with a season-best time of 26.73. It marked the third straight year Argir won the 200m title.
Hannah Russert (Caledonia, Minn./Caledonia HS ) won the 60m hurdles title in a time of 9.37. It was also the third straight 60m hurdles UMAC title for Russert.
The 4x400m relay team of
Anika Kling (Hudson, Wis./Hudson HS), Argir,
Breanna Shofner (International Falls, Minn./Falls HS) and Gibson capped the meet with a winning time of 4:08.31.
Other Top Performances
Argir was runner-up in the 60m dash with a season-best time of 8.23.
Natalie St. Marie (St. Francis, Minn./St. Francis HS) was also second in the shot put with a toss of 37'4" (11.38m).
Emily Conley (Marinette, Wis./Marinette HS) was third in that event with a mark of 36'3" (11.05m).
Elizabeth Poskie (Cotton, Minn./South Ridge HS) was third in the 3000m run, finishing in 11:36.69. Poskie also ran fourth in the mile run, posting a season-best time of 5:36.78.
Katharine Roetering (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove HS) placed third in the pole vault, clearing a season-best height of 10'2.75" (3.12m).
Kaylie King (Roseville, Minn./Roseville HS) was fifth in that event. Roetering was also fifth in the triple jump with a season-best mark of 33'1.75" (10.10m).
Shofner was fourth in the 200m dash, finishing in a season-best time of 27.13.
Jacqueline Kaplan (Elysian, Minn./Waterville-Elysian-Morristown HS) placed fourth in the 800m run with a season-best time of 2:31.39.
