ISHPEMING, Mich. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica women's ski team wrapped up its season on Sunday with the 5km classic race at the NCAA Central Region Championships at the Al Quaal Nordic Center.

Coming off yesterday's fifth place finish in the 15km freestyle race, Kelsey Dickinson (Winthrop, Wash./Liberty Bell HS) did one better on Sunday, placing fourth among Central Collegiate Ski Association (CCSA) skiers on Sunday. Dickinson finished in a time of 16:33, which was 19^th overall in the SuperTour event.
 
That fourth place finish all but solidifies Dickinson's spot into the NCAA Skiing Championships. She earns all-region accolades in both techniques for the second straight year. She also becomes the first CSS women's skier to record back-to-back top five finishes at a NCAA Central Region race.
 
In her final race as a Saint, Ellie Evans (New Hope, Minn./Robbinsdale Cooper HS) just missed all-region accolades by two seconds, placing 11^th in a time of 17:16. Nicole Gilman (Manitowish Waters, Wis./Lakeland Union HS) was 12^th among CCSA skiers posting a time of 17:23 to complete the scoring for the Saints.
 
Greta Jenkins (Palmer, Alaska/Colony HS) was 15^th and Allison Ternes (Vadnais Heights, Minn./White Bear Lake HS) was 17^th for the Saints.
 
St. Scholastica finished third for the second straight day and was third for the weekend. The third place finish was its best since 2014 when it was second.
 
Northern Michigan University took the title with Michigan Tech University finishing second. NMU swept the three podium spots today with Nicole Schneider defeating all CCSA skiers with a time of 15:49.
